Product Manager – Product Services

Omnicell is the world leader in pharmacy automation, and we’re dedicated to becoming doctors’ and nurses’ most trusted partner. As a Product Manager for Product Services, you will report to the Director of Product Management and will be responsible for managing Omnicell’s products that provide nurses and pharmacies with solutions to get the right medication to the right patient, helping to improve the overall patient medication experience.

You will be responsible for working cross-functionally with business operations and service delivery owners such as Customer Support Services, Customer Success, Professional Services to design develop, and launch best in class service solutions.You have experience navigating complex organizations, distilling a wide range of customer needs, and translating those needs into service offerings that enable health systems towards Autonomous Pharmacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine prioritized product needs based on insights from market research, competitive analysis, customer engagement, business needs and collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Collaborate with your product peers to prioritize problems to solve, make trade-off decisions, and ultimately translate your priorities into requirements and detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Own the successful delivery of your roadmap and share the success of the overall portfolio.
  • Build effective relationships with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product Marketing, Customer Experience and a variety of cross-functional business stakeholders.
  • Effectively identify and manage cross-team dependencies.
  • Develop relationships with customers and prospects, gather and understand customer feedback on existing products and products in development and conduct effective interviews to better understand the context, pressures, complete understanding of the problems they need to solve to deliver the right solution.
  • Communicate the vision of the product, value proposition and release goals to the cross-functional team as part of the release planning process.
  • Develop communications material, value props and high-level strategic justification to help explain the why of your product both internally and externally
  • Thrive in a ‘fire-fighting’ environment for keeping products maintained including customer escalation management.
  • Provide product perspective for change control, review and approve changes.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understands the industry, market, and product/service trends affecting the organization’s competitiveness
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, group presentations.
  • Flexibility to partner and negotiate with colleagues and customers at all levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Effective leadership skills and ability to listen, communicate and motivate teams.
  • Work well with downstream teams and customers to understand and appropriately respond to market and business needs.
  • Ability to interface effectively and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at a time and effectively prioritize to achieve optimal results.
  • Collaborative team player who can develop trust, influence where necessary and execute as promised
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to accurately analyze information and make sound decisions.
  • A self-starter who can work independently

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years of experience in product management with a proven record of successfully launching products and/or services
  • 2 years experience designing solutions based on product, end user or service delivery requirements (Ex. technical support, systems integrations)
  • 2 years experience participating in product launch activities (Ex. marketing, beta pilots

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working cross-functionally in an agile environment in the following:

  • Managing product lifecycle
  • Creating business cases
  • Design solutions based on product, end user or service delivery requirements
  • Experience building, implementing and/or delivering health tech services (ex: interfaces, integrations, IT consulting)
  • Experience working with internal service delivery teams to improve processes to deliver better outcomes
  • Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations

Work Conditions:

  • This position is 100% remote enabled from any US based location
  • This position requires up to 15% US based travel
